Domaine d’intérêt

Mes travaux de recherche se situent à l’interface entre la biologie, la pharmacie, et la chimie de matériaux. Ils portent sur la conception, le développement et la caractérisation de nouveaux biomatériaux, de systèmes de délivrance contrôlée d’actifs et de nanovecteurs pour des applications en santé.

Biography, Teaching & Research overview

Violeta RODRIGUEZ began her studies at the University of Valencia with a BSc in Pharmacy, graduating in 2003. Then, she undertook a MSc in Chemistry at the Polytechnic University of Valencia where she completed her PhD in Chemistry in 2010. Violeta undertook a period of postdoctoral research at the University of Paris-Sud-CNRS from 2011-2014 and she was appointed as a Temporary Lecturer and Research Assistant at the University of Paris 13 in 2014. Violeta joined the University of Cergy Pontoise in 2015 as an Assistant Professor in Enzymology and she is also involved with teaching on the Biomaterials and Drug Delivery courses.

Her research is focused on the design, development and characterization of novel biomaterials, controlled drug and biomolecule delivery systems and nanovectors for medical applications. Her current specific research topics are:

  • Antioxidant-loaded Nanostructured Lipid Carriers (NLC) for cardiovascular applications.
  • Nanostructuration and biofunctionalization of titanium surfaces for dental implants.
